We live in a beautiful and messy world where the desire for hope is often muddied by the nature of harm. While scripture teaches that God pursues humanity to restore the world, the reality of heartache and trauma in the human experience has led to emotional, spiritual, and relational separation – making the need for true healing more important than ever. Unfortunately, many churches, pastors, and communities of faith are not equipped to address these complex spaces.
Considering the Biblical command to love God with heart, soul, and mind, our mission is to boldly pursue spiritual and mental healing by engaging the intersection of faith and theology with an informed psychological awareness of the human heart and mind.
We aspire to be a trusted source of theologically sound teaching and informed, practical guidance on issues related to psychological and mental health. As such, we are working to equip Christian leaders, churches, and individuals to engage these arenas with theological faithfulness, psychological integrity, and courageous love.
The Center for Faith and Psychology is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
Our Work
The Center for Faith and Psychology offers programs in theological and spiritual formation, and psychological restoration for individuals, leaders, and faith communities.
Promoting holistic healing and redemption, we are continually expanding our programs to provide education, resources, and training both online and through in person events.
Our Team
Our collaboration is a growing team of seasoned therapists, Christian pastors, and faith community leaders committed to engaging the intersection of faith and theology with an awareness of the impact of human experience and mental health.
The Center was founded by Ellen Stevens due to the need to bridge the gap between traditional Christian approaches to trauma and healing, and the reality of individuals recovering from sexual and emotional harm. Extending the trainings to include a broad range of issues related to mental and spiritual health, the work of The Center is continually impacting lives.
